12 Ways to Happiness~

Kauai RoseDo you know why Aristotle left happiness out of his writing about emotions? Aristotle concluded that happiness is not an emotion, but the result of living with virtue.  When we live our values, happiness automatically increases!  This is a big part of what you will remember from the Mindful Parenting Workshop that is coming up on Saturday, May 21st at Pu’ukumu School in Kilauea.

As Sonja Lyubomirsky suggests in her book on happiness, there are 12 “values” to focus on to be happy.  The first 7 are big topics of “mindful parenting”.

In this short article, we will jump into the 9th topic called: practicing spirituality.

Here are all 12:

  • nurture relationships
  • do activities that truly engage you
  • savor life’s joys
  • count your blessings
  • practice kindness
  • cultivate optimism
  • take care of your body
  • develop coping strategies
  • practice spirituality
  • avoid over-thinking and comparison
  • forgive
  • commit to your goals

Every person has a right to their own religious or spiritual path to give them ways to fill up with peace and love.  A few ways folks find peace or love is through the beauty of a sunrise or sunset, the special fragrance of a rose, even a few quiet moments in the morning between you and that cup of tea or coffee.

It is a worthwhile use of your time to fill the self with peace and love, to stop and smell the roses!

Here is another way to fill yourself with a charge of pure love or a wave of peace. You know how wonderful it is when the rays of the sun land upon your back on a cold, windy day.  In a similar way, you can absorb the invisible rays from the invisible Source of Light, Love, and Peace when you feel the need for a lift.  Start by visualizing your Self (the part of you that is invisible) as a point of light and visualize the Source of light, as a point of light also.  Breathe in this light which contains love and peace. Concentrate on these feelings entering your mind and your heart for 5 to 10 minutes every day, preferably in the morning before you become involved in other things. Let this become a habit!

As each day passes, you will feel a closer and deeper connection with the powerful rays of love and peace entering you.

Take in this love and peace each morning and record a few things you are grateful for before you sleep each night. Before you know it, you will be so grateful to recognize the importance of making time to fill yourself with peace and love every day.

He also says that  the best way to remove heavy metals is to eat the following 5 foods every day for these foods have a synergistic action when they are eaten within 24 hours of each other.

  • Wild blueberries (only from Maine): draws heavy metals out from your brain.  Also heals and repairs any gaps created when the heavy metals are removed, which is especially important for your brain tissue.  This is the most powerfull food for reversing Alzheimer’s.  Eat at least a cup daily.
  • Atlantic dulse: binds to mercury, lead, aluminum, copper, cadmium, and nickel, and crosses the blood-brain barrier.  Unlike other seaweeds, Atlantic dulse is a powerful force for removing mercury on its own.  Dulse goes into deep, hidden place of the body, seeking out mercury, binding to it, and never releasing it until it leaves the body.  Eat 2 tablespoons of flakes daily, or an equal amount of strips if it’s in whole-leaf form.

For optimal effect, eat all five of these withing 24 hours of one another.  If you can’t fit them all in, plan to eat 2 to 3 daily.  If you want an extra boost, add burdock root to the protocol.

If you stick religiously to this heavy metal detox program over a long period of time, you can see a radical improvement.  Anthony Williams further says that he has seen people make miraculous recoveries by removing generations of mercury from their systems.

photo 2photo 1This past Sunday afternoon and evening was memorable for many reasons!  It was a stunning day here on Kauai, yet I spent most of the day fine tuning the Treehouse Sanctuary for giving a wonderfully energetic session of healing to a vacationer from Canada who was having her “trip of a life-time” right here on Kauai!  No surprise, eh!!!

I also spent a wonderful 2 hours with an advanced student of life, meditating and sharing the secrets of the three worlds, the beginning, middle, and end of time, and enjoying the freedom that knowing brings to the soul!  At 6 o’clock pm, I heard footsteps climbing up the sixteen steps that bring souls up to the lanai of the “Treehouse Sanctuary” which I also call “home”.  Surprise, but not really when a family of three souls entered to join us in evening (sunset) meditation…mother, father, and six-year old, fresh from…
